Over twenty years ago Steve and Cyrus Hakimzadeh arrived in New York City after stops in Switzerland, Denver, and Los Angeles. The two brothers have, for the most part, traveled the same road on their way to being the principals and founders of the new name in New York City real estate, HH Realty Group.
Through the renaissance and development of the East Village, and subsequent periods of bubble bursting "market corrections" and recession, these two driven businessmen and property owners have remained a steady presence in the New York real estate industry.
The brothers share core values but bring complementary skill sets to the table. Steve is the dreamer, architect of the future, while Cyrus is the realist, building the network. In many ways their relationship is the relationship they try to replicate with every client, two savvy businessmen working for mutual success, with their feet grounded in the present, but their eyes on what the future may hold.
They came to New York in the early 80s, and immediately gravitated towards real estate, introducing themselves to the industry via the purchase and refurbishment of buildings in the East Village. "This was when the East Village was a decrepit shell of what it is now," says Steve. Later that decade, the bubble burst on the New York real estate market and the brothers had to adapt. Steve would lead the foray into New York City apartment rentals, thereby diversifying their market interests, and the move ushered in a new era of success for the HH brothers. In '94 the duo founded Urban Habitat, a residential firm specializing in Manhattan rentals and sales on the Upper East Side.
The company took root quickly, and grew over the next decade. Steve and Cyrus' old-fashioned work ethic and dedication have allowed them to carve out a place for themselves in a fast, turbulent NYC real estate market.
The HH brothers now look to usher in yet another era as they expand to HH Realty Group.
"It was time for us to expand and shoot higher," says Steve, the vatic visionary of the duo, "we wanted to re-brand the company for a more upscale clientele, parlay our success thus far into new development, on site resources, and residential sales, while still maintaining the accessible rental services and listings we've always provided over the years."
Steve believes this multi-faceted comprehensive formula will separate HH Realty Group from the rest of the pack. "We bring a straight shooting dynamic to the table, a personal touch. It's big that a principal is always part of the team. We're more flexible, versatile, ... comprehensive. We can cater to an owner, developer, renter, buyer, or seller. We're big on the relationship, developing a trust over time."
Agents at HH Realty Group are in a unique and enviable position. They are taught how to rent, how to sell, how to pitch, how to give on-site presentations, and it's backed up with the tools to make deals, insuring success. The office is composed of a highly educated loyal group and this loyalty allows for investment in agents: keeping them updated on the latest trends, providing a large advertising budget, support staff, seminars, and motivational games and incentives.
Currently situated in midtown Manhattan, HH Realty Group expects to open a second office downtown in the near future, and eventually plans to level off with four offices total, each providing the finest full-service real estate resource in their neighborhood.
